Research
I trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital and won a highly sought after Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellowship gaining my PhD in the field of the gut infection and immunity. I was awarded The Digestive Disease Foundation National Research Prize for this work. My current research programme focuses on improving the diagnosis of conditions like inflammatory bowel disease and bowel cancer by looking at the 'protein signature' in the serum of patients with these condition. We are aiming to developing novel non-invasive diagnostic tests for these diseases in the future.
